Interview with a Roman Citizen

Imagine you could go back in time when the coliseum was first built. What questions would you have for the gladiators, the emperor, the citizens. Think about this and read the next paragraph.

All of you have worked so hard on your blogging and trying to take on the role of a Roman citizen, telling the Emperor why you would be good for a specific task in helping to build the coliseum. I think we can all agree that this wonderful structure that was built thousands of years ago has so much history behind it. Imagine how it must have felt to stand in this great arena. Pretend you could go back in time and be there during the great gladiatorial games. Think of at least 2 questions you would have for the gladiators and the emperor? What would you say to them? Please respond with two questions for each person.

There would be so many questions to ask. Our first set of questions are for our fellow gladiators. What was it like to fight and defeat someone like you? Did you ever regret doing this, or did you feel it was the right thing to do? Our second and final set of questions are for our compelling Emperor, Vespasian. During periods of time, did you find it complicated to rule our city Rome fulled with its ups and downs? Did you ever regret any of the decisions you made?

There are many questions that my sisters and I would be honored to ask. First, we would like to ask the gladiators two questions. Dear gladiators what made you guys/girls risk your life to perform in the colosseum? Also was you gladiators forced to perform in front of 50,000 people at the colosseum against your will or by authorities or even by your family and friends? Now we have questions for the Emperor, Vespasian. Why would you make people and animals perform at the colosseum if you knew they would get hurt? Did you enjoy seeing people get hurt while they perform?

I would like to ask the engineers a few questions. How much time do you experts think it would take to build the colosseum? What kind of materials would we need? Are the materials rare or easy to find?

Emperor Vespasian,
What kind of qualities did your engineers have? How did you pick them? Have you ever hired a slouch? I would be pleased if you could answer these questions

There are a many questions that we would like to ask. First, what was it like to go up in front of millions of people and battle someone? Did any of the soldiers ever die, and did they have any family? When you were fighting your opponent did you ever think twice about weather or not you should of taken on the battle? Our final question is for Emperor, Vespasian. When the colosseum was bring built, did you ever regret the making of it? Did you think that people wouldn't come to see the fights that were being held in it?
